On this day trip, we will explore Nederland and Boulder. We will depart from Wilson Hall at 12:00 p.m. on Sunday March 29th. Tickets include transportation only.
Our 1st stop will be Nederland, approximately an hour and a half drive away. There we will visit the Carousel of Happiness. Created by Scott Harrison, a Vietnam War veteran, this carousel features hand-carved animals. This project took 26 years to complete. Students who wish to ride the carousel will need to purchase a $3 ticket at the door.
Next, we will go to Mud Lake, a beautiful mountain lake also in Nederland. Students can enjoy the trail around the lake, less than one mile, or can relax and enjoy the scenery.
Our final stop will be in Boulder, where students will be dropped off at the Pearl Street Mall. This is a lively pedestrian outdoor mall with a variety of shops, restaurants, and frequent street performers.
